Matt and Anna Freedman’s Aspen home
In partnership with the Aspen Art Museum, Intersect Aspen is pleased to continue our “Collectors at Home” series for the third year.
Anna and Matt Freedman began their art collecting journey about 5 years ago, after moving into their new home with all white walls, and having nothing to put on them. “It has been an exciting and fun adventure for us thus far!” Anna Freedman explains. “The business side of art appeals to Matt. The aesthetic side and the artist’s stories appeal to me. We have an agreement that each of us needs to agree on a purchase or we walk away.”
Highlights from their burgeoning collection includes works by: Peter Doig, Lucio Fontana, Damien Hirst, Anish Kapoor, Yves Klein, Lee Krasner, Julie Mehretu, and Joan Mitchell.
